Who We Are

Familiar Faces, New Experiences,

Introducing StarBird Events.

Lead by veteran event professional Charley Dooley, StarBird Events is continuing the tradition of hosting incredible events in the North East featuring premiere exhibitors and unforgettable brand experiences. Dooley promoted his first craft show, ‘Willmington One’ in 1973 on a hillside between two restaurants in stunning Wilmington, Vermont. Outside of a few literal snags (notably the banner advertising on Route 100 was too low causing several tour buses to break and dodge the banner on their way in) this first event was just the spark Dooley needed to fuel his career in premium event management for years to come.

On that day in 1973, the event management team from nearby Mount Snow visited and invited Dooley to move the event to their facility the following year. The ball was rolling, momentum too much to stop, and shows sprouted up all over the place in the next 15 years.

Since then, Dooley has organized hundreds of events and festivals: art and craft festivals, concerts, vaudeville comedy festivals, wine and food festivals, street festivals, waterfront festivals, specialty food expos, craft beer festivals, a Made-in-Vermont festival in New York City and Celebrate Vermont Festival in 2012 and 2014 in Stowe. Millions of patrons, spending tens of millions of dollars have attended these events. Venues have ranged from pristine Vermont fields to city streets, waterfront parks, indoor convention centers, fairgrounds, theatres, ski resorts, college campuses, and more.
